Put on the shirt and have your trusted friend wrap you in the duct tape
(see fig 3)
Start at the bust and wrap the criss-cross to set the bust, then wrap horizontally
in long strips around as snug as you can breathe comfortably. (Don't sufficate
yourself, this takes about 1.5 to 2 hours so you will loose your breathe
if you make it too tight. Be careful not to squish the bust area, it is
easy to do. Use smaller pieces on the bust to get the curves right.
If you do start to feel light headed, take a break and sit down for a moment.
If you don't feel better quickly, have your wrapper cut the form off. You
can always start over, but your health is more important than a silly dress
form. I find that if you keep the room on the cool side it helps too!
If you have two helpers, one can tear the pieces as the other wraps, it
goes a little faster this way.
Wrap the shoulder area and snug up the neck, wrap down the hips to the
thigh line or a little beyond.
Keep this layer in a horizontal plane.
Wrapping the second layer:
The second layer goes as the first, but done on a vertical plane, this
gives the form more stability. Make the pieces as long as you can and still
create the curves, be careful not to mush the bustline again! (fig 3)
